In 2015 after implementation of the EU structural funds project “Construction of the new Marvelė wharf in Kaunas. Construction works phase I “, it was built quay 120 m in length, 0.65 ha loading area of solid ground, access roads, service columns for electricity, water, sewage and bilge water.

The wharf is used for service of cargo and other vessels, and storage of the consignments. Further development and operation of the wharf provided under concession.
