Uostadvaris Port of Inland Waters

The area of the teritory is 26051 m², the area of port waters is 7763 m², the quay is 211 m in length, the length of new stationary quay is 53 m, mobile pier length is 60 m.

In 2008 after implementation of the EU structural funds project “Integrated inland waterway along the River Nemunas and the Curonian Lagoon from Klaipėda to Kaunas arrangement”, in Uostadvaris inland water port there was constructed a new stationary and mobile quay with the platform.

This port is used for ensuring industrial-economic activity and service for the small, fishing, personal entertainment, floating watercraft, sport boats. By the mobile quay in the port there is equipped service column for electricity and drinking water supply and slip.

The port has 18 m in height Uostadvaris lighthouse built in 1873 and in 1996 it was announced as the Lithuanian cultural heritage monument. Nearby there is water pumping station with steam turbine build in 1907 which pumps out excess water in meadows and drain it to the River Atmata.

Several years ago this building was refurbished and there was established Šilutė polder museum.
